Whitelock Financial Planning Ltd were delighted to announce their Club Sponsorship of the

Scunthorpe Town Cricket Club from the 2015 season. This is a large well run organisation with excellent embedded values running throughout the club.

This association kicked off early in the season with an opportunity created by the St. James’s Place  Foundation as a result of their close relationship with Loughborough University. As a result, Whitelock Financial Planning Ltd were able to offer the opportunity for four ladies from the Scunthorpe Town Cricket Club to join the elite women's team for a morning's coaching at the English Cricket Board's National Performance Centre in the heart of the campus. This state of the art facility is not normally open to the general public and is used to train the very best in English cricket. This was a genuine 'money can't buy' behind the scenes experience which not only involved a morning's coaching, but it was followed by an afternoon T20 game against the Loughborough University Women's team. The women's team at Loughborough is the leading women's team in the UK, holding 50% of the Ashes winning England women's cricket team. This meant that they were able to play in the world class sporting environment that is Loughborough and enjoyed a terrific day out.

I am pleased that we were able to again offer the opportunity to STCC at the end of the season with four players again taking part in a fabulous experience.  I am hoping that this is something that we can offer again next season with the inclusion of players from the Men’s and Junior section also.

Later in the season Scunthorpe Town Cricket Club lifted the George Marshall Cup, winning against Messingham on 23rd August 2015.  A successful season all round for both Sponsor and the Cricket Club.

I am very proud to be associated with STCC and look forward to many more seasons of this successful partnership, hopefully a few more Cups and Titles too!!
